We had a chance to head back to Willow Ridge in Canyon Lake, Texas – and this Spring Hill Country Wedding Day is a stunner!
Mackenzie + Tyler’s Spring Wedding Day
We had the pleasure of working closely with Mackenzie, her mom and her wonderful wedding planner, Blaize, to design and bring this wedding day to life. Spring wedding season is always a super popular time of the year here in Texas. Mainly because the temperatures are still bearable and it’s enjoyable to be outside. One thing we can’t always plan for – wind. Mackenzie + Tyler’s big day might go down as one of the absolute windiest wedding days I’ve ever seen. While trying to set up the ceremony site, we watched 12 ft ladders take off in flight. We spent a lot of time that day weighing down our mechanics on our designs to make sure no matter how crazy the wind got – the flowers would stay perfect!
Hiring Professional Vendors
Something I always stress to my brides is to make sure they are truly vetting and doing their research on the vendors they are hiring. On a day like Mackenzie and Tyler’s wedding day, with the wind bringing so many issues forth – it was imperative to have experienced and professional vendors handling the day. If it wasn’t for Blaize and the group of vendors Mackenzie hired knowing exactly what to do, and coming prepared, things could have ended up much, much different. Despite the craze of the day – everything went off without a hitch!

What’s not to love about the Texas Hill Country? Sprawling trees and landscape, countless local rivers and lakes and pretty decent weather throughout the year. It certainly is a place we love to call home!
