New Hill Country Wedding Venue | Willow Ridge

One of the best parts about living in the Texas Hill Country is the scenery. The sprawling oak trees, the incredible sunsets and the land that still feels like country. I think that’s why we see so many wedding venues popping up in the Hill Country Area. There are over 400+ wedding venues in the Texas Hill Country… and after checking out this wedding at Willow Ridge at Camp Fimfo – you’ll understand why this is one of the hottest new wedding venues in the Texas Hill Country.

Willow Ridge at Camp Fimfo

The venue is nestled in the Texas Hill Country town of Canyon Lake, sitting on a 465 acre property that includes the wedding venue as well as plenty of on-site lodging for your guests, golf cart rentals, RV hook ups, on-site pool and even a roller coaster! Willow Ridge truly has it all for your wedding needs. Your guests can stay on site, enjoy the attractions of Camp Fimfo during the day before the wedding, and then party all night at your wedding.

Clay + Madison Carroll | Hill Country Wedding

Clay and Madison’s wedding was our first wedding at Willow Ridge and boy was it a good one. We do countless weddings throughout the year, but I always come back to the ones of the people we know and love. I’ve known Clay for years now from my college days, and I met Madison when I did her sisters wedding back in 2018, my very first wedding at The Chandelier of Gruene – another Texas Hill Country venue. We’ve come along way since then! (See one of our most recent weddings at the Chandelier, here!)

Hilltop Ceremony Site

Up on the ridge sits the stunning ceremony site of the venue. Willow Ridge has a large wooden gazebo with a hanging chandelier – all overlooking the rolling hills of the Hill Country. The ceremony site leaves lots of room for creativity when it comes to florals. We’ve done florals on the beams, florals on pedestals – but I think my favorite thus far has been Clay + Madison’s ground floral meadow that surrounded them as they said “I do!” Pro tip: Ground meadows are great pieces to repurpose after the ceremony! Chat with your planner about having these pieces moved into reception for a second use!

Indoor Reception Space

As you move up the hill to the reception space – there’s a fantastic area outside on the patio for cocktail hour. The main wall has a double-sided fireplace the faces both indoor and outdoor, and is perfect for those cooler months here in Texas where an evening fire hits just right. Clay and Madison’s wedding sat right at 250 people, with a full head table, round guest tables and a DJ set up with dance floor and even enough room for marquee letters! This wedding allotted for 5 guest tables outside on the patio – but the patio can hold up to 10-12 tables if needed! We paired the round tables with a mixture of compote arrangements and bud vases and taper candles. Subtle and simple – but made such a great impact to the room.
