When it comes to wedding day flowers, the most unforgettable designs always begin with trust, and that’s exactly what we had with Lexie and her mom. They came to us with a few ceremony inspiration pieces they loved, but when it came to the reception florals and centerpieces, they let us run with what would look best in the room. That kind of creative freedom allows us to design in a way that feels cohesive, intentional, and deeply personal to the couple.
And here’s what we always tell our brides: five to ten years from now, when you’re looking back at your wedding photos, these are the florals you’ll want remembered. The moments that matter most are the ones that are well-trafficked, well-photographed, and woven directly into the experience of your day.
For Lexie & Ty’s timeless celebration at The Preserve, that philosophy guided every choice – thousands of stems, multiple installations, and today we’re sharing the five key floral moments shaped the entire feel of their wedding.
What We’ll Cover
- The aisle florals that transformed the ceremony
- The repurposed floral towers that took everyone’s breath away
- The floral chandelier that made the reception glow
- The head table florals that anchored the room
- The stage florals that tied the entire design together
1. The Aisle Floral Runners
Aisle florals are always one of the first places our eyes go, and for good reason. They frame the moment you walk toward your forever, and they create some of the most timeless photos of the day.
For Lexie & Ty, we brought in over 100 feet of aisle florals! Soft white blooms and textural greens lined the path, keeping everything classic while still feeling full of life. After the ceremony, all of these runners were carefully moved and repurposed, fitting seamlessly into the reception design. Moving and relocating all of these pieces and making sure everything would work from Plan A to Plan B was so worth the effort! We love when floral investments can shine in more than one space.

As far as getting the biggest return on your investment, we will always recommend repurposing aisle florals! They make a huge impact on your photos, and they transition seamlessly to reception areas like the staircase, fireplace mantel, and stage facades. The best part? Most people have no clue they are repurposed because they look like they were built to exist in their second home!

2. Floral Towers at the Ceremony + Hallway
Lexie’s mom had a vision: she wanted dramatic floral towers that could also be moved and repurposed for the hallway. Designing pieces that were tall enough to look balanced with the ceremony cross and the hallway – yet engineered to be steady enough to transport and stand securely in the hallway – took a lot of thoughtful mechanics.
And honestly?
They were a huge moment. Our thoughtful planning paid off, and it worked like a charm!
These towers created such stunning ceremony photos, and they brought the perfect amount of height, texture, and elegance into an otherwise simple space. Guests had no idea they were repurposed, and that’s the magic.

3. The Floral Chandelier
If you want a reception showstopper, a hanging floral installation always delivers. The floral chandelier above the dance floor brought dimension, softness, and a little “wow” every time someone looked up!
At one point before guests arrived, a young boy walked across the white dance floor in black dress shoes, leaving scuff marks ALL over the place. The only thing that saved the day?
My trusty Mr. Clean Magic Eraser – which I always keep in my toolbox. My girls make fun of me because I ALWAYS have those in my tool box…they are just God’s gift! I was on my hands and knees scrubbing those marks off because that’s what we do for our brides. It was definitely one of those “I’ll do anything for my brides” moments! 😅
The chandelier deserved a spotless moment – and it got one!

4. Head Table Florals
The head table is always a moment, but for Lexie & Ty – it became the moment that anchored the entire reception. This is where your closest friends and family sit, and it naturally becomes one of the most photographed spaces of the night. Because of that, we love giving the head table extra intention, extra texture, and extra “this is where the magic happens.”
For this design, we created a lush canopy of elevated florals that stretched the full length of the table, overflowing with roses, hydrangea, stock, and rich greenery for movement. The florals framed every candle, every place setting, every toast – creating a romantic glow that guests felt as soon as they stepped into the room.
And at the base of the table?
A full, garden-style floral meadow that tied the entire installation together. It grounded the design, added depth, and made the head table feel like its own little floral world.

5. Stage Florals
Stage florals offer that finishing touch that makes a reception space feel complete. For Lexie & Ty, these pieces transitioned beautifully from the ceremony staircase/fireplace mantels to the stage façades.
Most couples never realize how seamlessly florals can be repurposed, and how impactful that repurposing can be from both a design perspective and a budget perspective. When done well, these florals look like they were designed for each space from the start.

Designing at The Preserve: Why We Love This Venue
We absolutely love working at The Preserve. When it comes to repurposing florals from the ceremony to the reception, not all venues work as seamlessly as The Preserve. Even in the middle of the Texas summer heat, we were still able to move key installations, refresh them, and give our couple beautiful floral moments in both spaces. It’s one of the reasons this venue will always be a favorite!
Advice for Newly Engaged Couples
There is no right or wrong way to approach your wedding day flowers. Don’t be afraid to step away from tradition and stray from the norm. Don’t be afraid of “too much.” And definitely don’t shy away from timeless palettes like white and green because it feels “boring”. A green and white palette is timeless, and it gives us an opportunity to play with textures and mechanics in a way that makes the florals truly come alive.
If you want to give your guests an incredible experience and create show-stopping moments, we are here to help you make that happen!
