It’s been a little over a year since this floral filled wedding day at Canyonwood Ridge and it’s time we share all the beauty of this stunning day for Kayla + Logan
Texas Hill Country Wedding
Canyonwood Ridge is located in Dripping Springs, Texas – right outside of Austin, just a short drive to the city. This venue sits right outside of town in the hill country with tons of sprawling trees and an incredible overlooking view of the ridge.
Kayla and Logan got married here in the heat of Texas July – which for most people sounds miserable. But that’s the beauty of Canyonwood Ridge! They have a stunning, all indoor – air conditioned chapel that makes those 100 degree Texas weekends the perfect wedding date.
Floral Filled Wedding
From day one of talking with Kayla – we knew this was going to be a wedding we’d love! The most important item on her wedding list: FLOWERS! A girl after my own heart. Kayla wanted flowers everywhere – and we were determined to make it happen for her. From the sprawling aisle florals throughout the ceremony, to the chandelier greenery and stunning head table pieces – Canyonwood Ridge was dripping in flowers throughout the day.
White and Black Design Elements
From the all white florals, to the black and white signage and dance floor. Kayla and her planners from Scarlet Rose Events – brought her design to life! The smallest details always make the biggest impact to me. Everything from the blank flatware, the custom neon glow sticks – and my fan favorite ALWAYS, the monogrammed Espresso martini ice luge!
Floral Elements We Used Throughout The Day
We had a ton of different floral elements throughout the day. From a full bridal party with bouquets and boutonnieres and moms who wore silk wrist corsages. As you entered the ceremony, there we two large pillars of florals at the start of the aisle which then followed down the aisle with 60 ft of double sided full florals adorning each side of the white carpeted aisle runner. As you made your way to the front of the altar, we had a 7ft full floral square arch for Kayla and Logan to get married in front of.
After the ceremony, guests followed outside where we had accent florals adorning the couples seating chart and cocktail tables. Cocktail hour is typically a place where we love to use statement florals. Seating Charts and photo opportunity areas are great places at cocktail hour to utilize florals!
As we moved inside for the reception – out team did a flip during the cocktail hour, to repurpose some of the florals from the aisle throughout the reception. Having a live band, we used aisle florals along the whole front of the bands stage, and on the end caps of all of the rectangle tables. One of my favorite designs from the day, was the 16 ft head table floral piece that spanned above the whole entire head table. It was such a statement piece and I love that it is seen in so many photos.
