The start of planning wedding florals often comes from an inspiration photo of some kind. Whether this be a Pinterest board (come follow us for inspo), a past wedding we did or an Instagram post, the options are really endless on what our couples will bring to us for inspiration for their big day. And when we see these, it’s important that we take the time and consideration to put a twist on it to make sure the wedding represents that couple. Because even when you are inspired by a wedding day, no two weddings are exactly the same!
When it was time to start planning Riley and Reschen’s day, they came to us with one of our past weddings as inspiration. They loved the bold colors from Raye and Jordan’s wedding day but wanted to make it their own. With just a few changes, we had a completely different wedding!
Bold Florals Throughout the Wedding Day
There is nothing I love more than a bold color palette and we have been seeing it a lot lately. There’s something so fun about taking constrasting colors and textures and bringing them together on a wedding day. It allows us to not only create beautiful pieces, but unique pieces as well. And the florals for Riley and Reschen’s wedding day were no different!
Flowers we chose to bring this day to life:
- peach ball dahlias
- light blue delphinium
- blue thistle
- peach juliette garden roses
- peach ranunculus
- pampas grass
- white majolika spray roses
- quicksand roses
To add to the bold color palette of florals used, Riley also picked out a stunning teal velvet dress for her bridesmaids. Which I couldn’t be more obsessed with! I love the velvet trend and it was perfect for this wedding day.
Varying Your Centerpieces
One of my biggest pieces of advice, especially for large guest counts, is to vary the types of centerpieces used. Not only does this allow you to mix different styles, but it can also help to spread your budget further.
After seeing these two completely different days inspired by similar things, I want to encourage you to not feel like you have to have everything picture perfect to a Pinterest photo you may have seen. These serve as wonderful inspiration, but remember to make them your own, too!
