From one inspiration photo to a modern pastel wedding day. Cassie and David’s wedding was truly what my wedding florist dreams are made of. And better yet? I got to bring this day to life for two of my closest friends!

Planning a Pastel Wedding

Being one of Cassie’s bridesmaids, I was a bit partial to the fine details that would go into their day. I had some ideas but I knew that the best inspiration would start from the bridesmaid’s dresses. The colors, the fabrics, the vibe – all of these elements of bridesmaid’s dresses are a great spot to start when it comes to the color palette of a wedding day.

So that’s where we started with this modern pastel wedding day and the result was breathtaking.

Pastel Floral Installation

The showstopper of the entire day, was the ceremony installation. As a bridesmaid and the florist for the day, let’s be real I couldn’t handle it all on my own. Thanks to my girl Kayli, from Bloom Bar Texas, this beautiful piece came to life. It was better than I could have dreamed and I’m so grateful to have a floral community that values each other over the competition!

A Joy Filled Ceremony

You know those couples who just shine because of how in love they are? That’s 100% Cassie and David. But that’s their friends and family, too. The wedding party danced down the aisle, the guests clapped along and Cassie had the biggest, brightest smile on her face the entire way down the aisle. It was the perfect reminder of why I love my job so much!

Reception Decor to Compliment Mae’s Ridge

The Mae’s Ridge wedding venue is a beautiful space all on its own. But with the creativity of Blaize from Borrowed and Blue, we turned this space into the most perfect modern pastel wedding day. No detail was missed and I now want more weddings with velvet tablecloths because I’m obsessed!

I think the most special thing to me is Cassie telling us several times, that if she could do it all over again, she’d want it the exact same. She would change nothing. As a designer and a wedding professional, that’s our goal. To take a client who doesn’t know what they want, and give them exactly what they want – and more.
